Scandivoovians have no concept of turkey. It took my wife and her mother a decade to recognize that turkey was yust liddle bit different from heer-rink. Oh, we got it good now--the pearl onions, the stuffing, lingon berries, the whole nine yards. But for us Thanksgiving is just a bump-stop on the way to the Julbord...
I have fond memories of my dad singing "do-be-do, bork bork bork!" as he was preparing the dinner salad at holiday dinners.
