Tilley Awards Party

The Tilley Awards Party was a little more subdued than normal this year thanks to the writers' strike and the non-appearance of Ron. However five (update, make it seven) brave souls showed up in total disregard to the discussion on Sailing Anarchy as to whether the wearing of Tilley hats is gay. Congratulations to all award winners (and gatecrashers).

No guy in the Navy would be caught dead wearing a hat like that. ;)

Thanks, T-man,

I got my 15 minutes of fame after all!

Cheers

You missed Bonnie...she did a post and everything!

When do we get the rum?

Hey Joe, I'm descended from a few generations of Army men...they aren't as constricted in their choice of headgear. Meanwhile we often see cute sailorboys in New York City...always IMMACULATELY tailored in their freshly pressed outfits.

Oops sorry puffin. You are quite right. I have added two of bonnie's photos to make up for my omission.

Oh, that's too funny - I almost sent that one but we were oh just a bit stupid that day!

But Andy'd caught a fish, and we wanted another one and well, there we were, three soggy yakkers waiting out a thunderstorm on Canarsie Pol. Fish fever makes you dumb.

I was glad I was packing that space blanket that day!
